since i downloaded and paid $$$ for Object Desktop ultimate i've been fighting with Windowblinds, I have all the latest drivers so it is'ent that  .

this is what is happening i load a skin, some times it will load some times it dosent, but if it dose after a restart the skin is all messed up (only half a skin, differnt skin or diffrent parts of two skins).

I've un-installed and deleted all the files in the windowblind file and re-installed again 3 times with my virus scanner turn off and still no go.....

And now i've just about had enough of it all.......

any idear's would be great before i ask for my money back..............

And i have NEVER had pro's with windowblinds before..

Thanks robbie boy

For logonvista try these1. make sure wbocx.ocx is registeredopen an administrative command prompt by typing "cmd" into the start menu search box and right-clicking on "CMD Shell", then clicking Run as administrator. Then, run this command:regsvr32 wbocx.ocx 2.Delete the Folder "Skins" from the logonvista folder located in Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDesktop for meIt will be recreated but without the files that stop logonvista workin

i tryed and this came up....

Now i've just installed Tuneup Utilities 2008 and all's great and going fast.... so it must have been AVG8........

AVG 7.5 was great, but version 8.0 didn't want to play nice on my system either. While AVG 8.0 is a perfectly fine program,if it gives you trouble I highly recommend Avast. It is far faster, has more features and a smaller footprint than AVG.It's worth checking out.At least you are narrowing it down.Good Luck.

Sounds good. Just be careful of it's UI appearance settings. I have run into conflicts in the past with this since it goes about things differently then Object Desktop. That's why I disabled that feature on my machine.

All the other features of TU2006 still work on my machine without this feature being enabled and, since I use Object Desktop, it wasn't needed. My OS also has 1 less process and 1 less service running that way which saves on system memory usage as well.

I hope you figure out what's what with your system. Good luck.

I have AVG8 on my system(XP) and haven't had any problems with it . I do know however that if you search the forums there is a thread from someone else who had problems with it interfering with Windowblinds and a solution they found for the problem.

For logonvista looks like the ocx is registered but not loaded.Something is interfering.
The error number mentioned is normally when regsvr32 not run as admin but you were so ?
Try deleting skins directory as above.
